Suicide Prevention by Managing & Assessing Self Harm Incorporating Nice Guidance
Conference Information
The East Midland Development Centre has been reviewing the management of self harm assessments in the major Acute Hospitals across the region.
In the morning, we will be exploring some key aspects of the patient’s journey from arrival in A & E through to receiving a psychosocial assessment prior to discharge. The NICE guidelines on self harm will be the main focus for the patient journey. As a result of the self harm review, we will share examples of good practice across the region.
The afternoon workshops will focus on your area in the region exploring your own care pathway with service users, A & E staff, Mental Health staff who assess and those involved in the commissioning and managing these services. From this work, it is hoped local based action plans can be developed.
